


Kim started Flourish Therapy to continue serving the community with focused, strengths-based, and trauma-focused therapy to help people heal and grow from their past experiences and the obstacles that get in the way.

Kim began her career in victim services at a local domestic violence and sexual assault victim services program and continues to integrate modalities that help trauma survivors heal from their experiences, like EMDR and Internal Family Systems. In addition, working with the LGBTQIA community to clarify identities, put voice to experience
Kim began her career in victim services at a local domestic violence and sexual assault victim services program and continues to integrate modalities that help trauma survivors heal from their experiences, like EMDR and Internal Family Systems. In addition, working with the LGBTQIA community to clarify identities, put voice to experiences, and build strong communities is an integral part of the practice.

Kim worked in victim services for about 18 years at the Community Crisis Center in Elgin, IL, helping survivors of violence in their healing. Kim also spent 13 years in college counseling centers, working as a generalist with college and graduate school students. Since Medicare approval, Kim is enjoying working with seniors!
